RTL-Spiegel-TV is broadcasting tonight a report on dangers of DU and soldiers. In the announcement they referred to increasing leucemia cases after the plane-crash in Remscheid Germany (A-10, Warthog), some years ago. The show will be broadcast at 22.15 MEZ on Jan. 14.2001 ( today)

I just watched a report on German TV (rtl Spiegel TV) on the plane crash of an A 10 (Warthog) in Remscheid, Germany in 1988. The investigating reporters found out that so far 5 people from that particular street where the plane crashed in have died from various cancers (mostly leucaemia) and more than 100 people have fallen seriously ill. The American military people had then tried to cover up the dangers and claimed that no DU ammuniton was on the plane. The program was transmitted in connection with the Balkan-Syndrome and the people of Remscheid remembered parallels to their experiences. I wonder if there are any evidences of illnesses of the American soldiers who helped with the clean-up in 1988. I could imagine there could be some.
