The Energy Department's preliminary list of facilities that handled beryllium or radioactive materials for the government during the Cold War.

This list includes some facilities that were managed by the Energy Department but not involved in nuclear weapons production. Exposed workers who subsequently contracted beryllium disease, silicosis or certain kinds of cancer may qualify for government compensation under a program that the Labor Department will initiate later this year.
