MOSCOW, Jan 31, 2001 -- (Agence France Presse) Russian police on Wednesday arrested a man who was carrying two radioactive capsules in the Moscow metro.

The capsules, discovered during an identity check, were around 100 times more radioactive than accepted norms, ITAR-TASS quoted the nuclear safety agency Radon as saying.

Both capsules were clearly marked "radioactive." No indication was given as to the origin of the radioactive elements. ((c) 2001 Agence France Presse)
