Dear colleagues!

we - civic organisation Res publica, association for information (Czech republic, Prague) (annex 1), are beginning on our server publica.cz (www.publica.cz) a discussion FORUM (http://www.publica.cz/tituly/forum.htm) on some themes.

We are following up with contents especially of the international conferences which association Res publica organised in Prague. We are happy to inform you about it because we suppose that this idea could be interesting for you as well as some panels of discussion.

At present we our interestis concentrating on these discussions and further events will follow:

· DEPLETED URANIUM: USES AND HAZARDS

· BOMBARDEMENT OF YUGOSLAVIA 1999 AND ITS INTERNATIONAL AND POLITICAL CONSEQUENCES

· ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN PREVENTION AND PEACEFUL SOLVING OF CONFLICTS

and

· NATO and  its role based on  a new doctrine of the Washington  summit
· United Nations in the 21st - New challengess, new tasks
· OSCE in the  architecture of European co-operation
· European Union - superstate or organization of national state
· Globalisation  and the part of  national states in the processes of its assertion

In the annex (2) of this letter are enclosed technical information´s about the discussions.

We take for granted - in case of these discussions are going well - the possibility to publish some proceedings and organise a workshop in Prague and to present the contributions to the public in a special booklet.

We hope that our offer will be interesting for you and that your contributions will help to the development of our project.

Annex 1

The civic association Res, publica, association for information, is an independent non-profit organisation, focused on dissemination of information from the field of politics, economy and law among its members and public and intends also to contribute to the understanding of the importance of information for decisive processes in the evolution of the society.

Annex 2

1.  Contribution which we will obtain on our e-mail address (forum@publica.cz) is to be published on the server within respective group of discussion.

2.  Contributions ought to have the following structure:
· Title of the contribution
· Annotation - with 180 signs
· Text altogether from 9000 - 18000 signs
· Name of the author and shortly who is who of the author

3.  Contact information (only for administrator of server, not for publishing).

4.  Point of views on contributions are not at all limited. The only criteria are expertness and decency.

5.  Participants attend as individuals in their private capacity and represent only themselves.

6.  About publication of each contribution we will inform by means of internet news and further feasibility.
