Greek soldiers, billeted in Kosovo, under the influence of the latest news, regarding “uranium scandal”, demanded immediate return home. More than 140 soldiers (1/10 of all the Greek corps) addressed Greek Defence Minister with this request. The Minister has already said that he will fulfil this request. “No one Greek soldier should feel that he is forced to serve here”, western mass media reports.

 Meanwhile, in Germany doctors determined that one more soldier, served in Bosnia, suffers from leucaemia. It is the second case in Germany. British defence ministry, under the pressure of common sense, was forced to provide complete medical examination for army veterans. But UK, as opposed to other European countries, is not going to fully stop the production of the ammunition, containing depleted uranium.
