Per fare i genocidi ci vuole il passaporto americano (8 dicembre)

With one phone call to the White House -- (202) 456-1111 -- you can take action on two important issues (*see note on email at end of message):

1. Urge President Clinton to sign the treaty establishing an International Criminal Court. The deadline for states to sign is December 31. The U.S. has been resisting this most important international effort to deal with war crimes and crimes against humanity. In essence, the U.S. wants an exemption for itself. Tell the President this is unacceptable. For more detailed information on the ICC please visit http://www.amnestyusa.org/icc/

2. Urge the President to grant clemency to political prisoner/Native American leader Leonard Peltier. The White House has confirmed that the President will review Peltier's clemency petition before he leaves office. Calls have been flooding into the White House. Add your voice to the effort to gain freedom for Leonard Peltier.

* If you'd prefer to email the President, we suggest you use the online forms at the White House web site in order to receive the best attention:

Full opportunity for full development is the unalienable right of all. He who denies it is a tyrant; he who does not demand it is a coward; he who is indifferent to it is a slave; he who does not desire it is dead. The earth for all the people! That is the demand.
Eugene Debs, 1904
